How Seattle Changed the World

eattle is a city full of pride and predicaments. The pride comes from an unmatched legacy of ideas, inventions and brands that swept across the world. No place its size can make the same kind of claim. But why did all that happen in Seattle?

After all, the city is not immune from the same problems that plague the rest of post-pandemic urban America.

So, are Seattle’s accomplishments mere history? Or a precursor to even more to come?

I produced, reported and narrated a fast-moving one-hour documentary that tackles those questions head-on. It aired originally on KOMO-TV in Seattle, and the writing credit is shared with the Cascade Review’s publisher, Don Varyu.
